Marching

Marching in the St Patrick's Parade is a great way for your group or organization to be seen and it also shows support for this 43 year old tradition in the city of Pawtucket.
Entry into the parade is simple but there are a few rules to follow for everyone's safety:

Marching - All marching units must be approved and registered with the line of march committee.
Cost- There is no cost involved for civic groups and organizations .
Vehicles - Any and all motorized equipment must be approved by the line of march committee.
Animals - the use of any animals in the line of march must be approved by the line of march committee. Any clean up is the sole responsibility of the animal owners and or handlers.
Politics - "All 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from participating in any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate running for public office. The prohibition applies to all campaigns at the federal, state and local levels." As such no campaign activity of any kind, signs, banners, handouts, electronic transmission may be used during the course of the parade or any connected events.
Weather - The parade is a rain, snow, or shine event.
